Install your eSIM

Takes about two minutes. Install over Wi-Fi before your trip — validity only starts when the eSIM connects at your destination.

    Open the camera app

    Point your iPhone camera at the QR code we sent you. Tap the “Cellular Plan Detected” notification.

    Add the plan

    Tap “Continue”, then “Add Cellular Plan”. Alternatively: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code.

    Label the line

    Name the new line “FreeSim” so it's easy to find. Keep your default line for calls and SMS.

    Select data line

    In Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data, choose the FreeSim line as your data line.

    Enable data roaming

    Settings → Cellular → FreeSim line → turn ON “Data Roaming”. This only applies to the eSIM — your home SIM is unaffected.

    Land & connect

    When you arrive, your iPhone connects automatically within a couple of minutes. If not, restart the phone once.

Good to know

  • • The QR code can only be installed once. To view it again, open your dashboard.
  • • You need a second screen to scan from — or use manual installation with the SM-DP+ address and activation code.
  • • Keep your home SIM active for calls/SMS; just make sure its mobile data stays off abroad to avoid roaming fees.
  • • If pages load slowly, set the APN to internet (shown with your QR code).
